Yes. Ferrero Automotive offers a complete custom-made metal racks design service, developed to meet specific automotive needs. The process starts from the study of the 3D model of the component provided by the customer, on which we perform feasibility analyses and virtual ergonomics and capacity simulations. This allows us to optimize the internal spaces of the rack and guarantee maximum protection, handling efficiency and the aesthetic-functional quality of the parts to be contained, handled or transported.
We then transform the initial concept into a complete constructive 3D model, developed according to the technical specifications and customer requests. From the final model, we obtain the 2D tables necessary for prototyping, a phase in which we use 3D printers to accurately reproduce media and components, thus validating the design solutions. Before mass production, we create a functional prototype, which is essential for testing and confirming all the technical solutions identified.
Once the prototype has been approved, we proceed with the production of the pre-series and series racks. Since most of our specific metal racks and metal racks with stacker pillars are intended for highly automated factories, each rack is verified using 7-axis 3D measuring instruments, ensuring precision, repeatability, and tolerances suitable for robotic handling.
